The Magic of Aha!

What is it that makes for a better life? In a nutshell, it’s awareness!

For certain we’re all impacted by external events – the experiences we have, the incidents we witness and the memorable stories we hear. Yet these aren’t always compelling.  Reality, for each one of us, is determined by our response, and that is ours to choose!

Every great philosophy, and religion, tells us that reality is within us; also, that it is perfect! We are born that way and we make our own interpretations from that point onwards. Life is ours to identify as perfection, or otherwise. Our awareness is ours, alone!

Growing our awareness makes good sense and it generally begins with Insight. First, we recognize something different about the reality we’ve accepted, then we reconcile it with what we’ve believed to that point. Finally, we might choose to respond by way of taking an initiative to bring it into our perspectives on life.

Insight is key. Without it, we’ll probably continue along our familiar path. With it, we know excitement, expectation, hope, potential success. It opens new vistas on the future, fresh aspirations and enhanced personal confidence. Life gets better!

Where does this inspiration originate? Although it can, and does, happen in our own mind, it’s most often stimulated at the interfaces we have with other minds, through direct contact or through exposures to the thoughts of others in written form. Think about it!

Regardless, the benefit is not so much in the ideas we garner, but in our responses thereto. If we think differently, we may get a different outcome to whatever we’re experiencing now. Could this be an attractive proposition?
